The Yubiso hotsprings is located in the great outdoors of the Shyuhoutanigawadake by the upper stream of the Tonegawa-river. Many families and young people come here every summer to enjoy the Ichinokurasawa or the ropeway at the Tanigawadake. The Naramata-lake and the Uraminotaki-waterfall are great places to enjoy the great outdoors throughout the seasons. There are many ski resorts that are famous for the good quality snow, making this area a great place to visit for the winter too. After skiing for a day you can relax in the hotsprings while drinking sake and wathing the snow.



Tanigawadake and the ropeway
The world's fastest(4m/sec, 10min for the whole way) ropeway connects the Tanigawadake-entrance and Tenjindaira. The air walk at a height of 4500ft in the air is an amazing experience. The Tanigawadake is also a famous rockclimbing spot and many rockclimbers come here every year to take on the challenge.


Naramata-lake
A multi-purpose dam , built by putting rocks in rockfill-style trapezoid, mainly for flood control and to provide Tokyo with its water needs. There are parks and a service center, documents library and an observatory close this dam to spent a day at the dam.



Uraminotake-waterfall
It is believed that Yamatotakerunomikoto took a dive in this waterfall, it is 240ft tall and violently gushing. Just as the name suggest (Uraminotaki=The waterfall with a backview) this waterfall can be viewed at from the back making it a rare waterfall. There is a maintained walkway that leads the viewer around the waterfall.
